We recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples were the first sovereign nations of Australia from time immemorial, and they never ceded this sovereignty.

2023 Dormilona Chenin Blanc - $34
Margaret River - WA
Jo Perry crafts interesting and lively alternative renditions of classic Margaret River varieties from organically grown fruit. This Yallingup Chenin was fermented in a combination of Italian clay amphora (a Dormilona signature) and old French oak, resulting in a wine of layered texture and complexity.
This is seriously evocative of the Mediterranean climate it hails from and would look great alongside grilled (sustainable!) seafood of any kind.

2024 Alkina Kin Semillon - $35
Greenock - Barossa Valley - SA
Alkina is an incredibly geeky micro-terroir project headed up by Amelia Nolan in the Barossa’s Western Ranges which began in 2015. Their top wines (which can be found on our wine list) seek to express subtle nuances of the complex geology underneath their old vineyard site.
The ‘Kin’ bottlings from Alkina offer delicious, approachable wines at an appropriately approachable price point. This is at once fleshy and chiselled, high-toned and pretty Semillon you could drink alongside just about anything.
Barossa Semillon, incredibly underrated!

2022 Bandicoot Run Syrah - $42
Baw Baw Shire - Gippsland - VIC
Al and Adriana farm 7 acres of vines, organically and with a focus on biodiversity and building healthy soil microbiology. A very exciting new addition to the Western Gippsland winegrowing community and definitely one to watch.
Half the Syrah comes from vines planted in the early 2000s, half from five-year-old vines. Co-fermented with 5% Viognier, matured for a year in old barrel and tank. No additions except a small amount of SO2 at bottling. Picture-perfect Spicy, savoury, medium-bodied Victorian Syrah. Excellent!

2023 Fighting Gully Road Sangiovese - $35
Beechworth - VIC
Fighting Gully Road is a champion of Italian varieties in Beechworth and winemaker Mark Walpole is one of the county's most respected viticulturalists. The vineyard sits between 530-580 meters above sea level, producing fresh and elegant wines.
True to the Tuscan wines that inspire it, this Sangiovese is blended with a tiny amount of Colorino. It's substantial and savoury stuff with all the dried herbal aroma we love to see in an Italian red—great drinking with hearty Northern Italian fare like Osso Bucco.
